  • Backyard Bible School 2008

Another year of Backyard Bible School is officially over!
Once again it was wonderful to see God's amazing power as He worked out the details, gave us amazing weather, and sent us a whole slew of Children! God is awesome!

    The theme was Outrigger Island

    Our nifty little Snack Shack

Some of the cool girls in my group!

I got to work with my Sister in Law, was great!

Grover the Gorilla made his usual appearance

    Brittany & I

The last night we had a candy drop, with over 200 children running around it almost got Crazy!

Isn't it awesome that God allows us to work for His Kingdom? He really doesn't need us, but He chooses to use us! If we don't spread His love and the good news He'll find some other way to do it , but we'll miss our blessing! I count it a privelege to be able to serve such a great God, and I hope each of you do as well. So,  thats my sermon for the week,  Go serve God with all your heart, and you will be blessed! I was.

  •  ~ A Weekend in the City with Friends, What Fun! ~

    paris

It really didn't matter to us that it wasn't a very big city, and that it rained a lot of the time, we were having to much fun hanging out at coffee shops, sleeping late, shopping, eating wonderful food, trying to act like we actually fit in at the Hyatt, and just enjoying being together!

So today I thank God for the wonderful Blessing of friends, what would I do without them!

On a totally different subject, tomorrow night I get to go hear Casting Crowns, i'm excited!

  •   Wow, I can hardly believe how the time has flown. The January Vision Trip is Officially over, about half of the team left Monday evening, it was hard to see them go, but it was really nice that more then half of the team were staying here.

The last month has been an incredible experience, as we've seen God work in so many marvelous ways! It was strectching and trying at times, but God's strength was always there. It would take way to long to write all the details on here, so if you want to hear more about it you'll have to call me or come visit me when I get back to the states. I will be headed home next Wednesday, until then i'll be hanging out around here with Bev.

I will post some pictures of the last couple of weeks, since thats always more interesting then reading a bunch of boring details. The pictures are not mine since my camera went missing in China. So thanks to the rest of the team for the pics.

The first trip we took was to Cambodia and Vietnam, we spent about 60 hours on buses on that trip.

We had 25 people on 18 seats for ten hours in this bus, yes it was very crowded and we were no longer strangers once we got off!

We hung out with the street children in Cambodia several nights!

They had these little vans everywhere and we would pack people in and go, the one day we had 10 people plus luggage in one of them.

I think that should be plenty for now. I could go on for hours, but ya'll would be even more bored then you are now!

I'm out till later - Peace everyone!

  • My last post said I was leaving for Romania, and since I've been there and back it might be time to update again. Life is busy with Christmas, and all that goes along with it. It's fun, but sometimes I think we should slow down and actually enjoy the moment! Anyone else agree?

It was really good to be in Romania again, to see all my friends, go along to Bible School, hang out with the youth, and of course enjoy the food. :)

Now I'm ready to enjoy the next week of vacation, hanging out with family, and hopefully just relaxing.  Then it's time to pack the bags for Asia.  And yes I am most definitely excited about that!

I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas!
